Welcome to Imamia Medics Kashmir
Imamia Medics of Kashmir, a non commercial, non political and non partisan network of Healthcare professionals of Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirms its commitment to serving humanity under the spiritual guidance of Imam-e-Zamana A.S, its Patron In-Chief. We pledge to harness our collective expertise and resources to promote education and healthcare in underserved communities. In all our endeavors, projects, and allocation of human and financial resources, we shall adhere strictly to the principles of Islam as embodied in the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his revered progeny, the Ahlul Bayt (A.S).
Establishment of Imamia Medics of Kashmir triggered by some Healthcare professionals, initiating a WhatsApp group, "Imamia Medics of Kashmir," which rapidly grew to 350+ members. Due to the overwhelming response and successful cross-consultations, it was decided to establish a formal organization with an office and a focus on transparency and accountability. We aim to create a sustainable organization independent of individuals, learning from past failures. Membership is open to community doctors and services will be provided to all transcending all social, cultural and religious boundaries that abide by our slogan, "Serving Humanity".
Organizational Mission and Goals: The organization's mission is to create a long-term, community-based medical support system. Key areas of focus include establishing a comprehensive community health database, providing primary and preventive healthcare with an emphasis on cost-effective interventions, addressing women's and children's health, and improving health education to combat ignorance. We also plan to assist with disaster management and provide ongoing medical education for doctors.
Data Collection and Primary Healthcare: A digital database will be created to collect demographic, economic, medical, and educational data from across the community. The organization will prioritize primary and preventive health care, focusing on cost-effective interventions for infectious diseases, nutritional disorders, and chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes. We will implement a model program in a selected area, combining data collection with health education awareness.
Membership and Funding: Membership is open to all community doctors who fulfill the requirements, with a little membership fee. The conditions have been mentioned in the subsequent page. Funding for the activities will primarily come from membership fees.
Future Plans and Challenges: The organization recognizes the challenge of community skepticism and aims to overcome it through our work. We plan to evolve our aims and objectives over time with the help of mentors. We acknowledge challenges in reaching busy doctors and coordinating efforts, particularly using online platforms.
